I'm super excited for this years Redbull Thre3style DJ battle. Each DJ is given 15 minutes to showcase his creativity, track selection, mixing skills, and ability to rock the crowd. Each DJ must play at least 3 different genres of music, other than that it's anything goes. First place will win $1,000 and advance on to Washington D.C. for the next round. It's going to be a hell of a show, there's some very talented DJs! I hope to see all my friends and supporters there, I'm gonna need you guys to be extra loud for me! The event will be at Altar in the Strip District, on Thursday April 7.
Equally as exciting is that DJ P will be our headliner! For those that don't know DJ P is a pioneer in every sense of the word. He was one of the first few guys to take "live blends" (think mashup, an acapella from one artist, over the instrumental of a different artist/song) to a mainstream level. Him and Z-Trip created one of the greatest mix tapes of all time, Uneasy Listening. (a staple in any DJs iPod.)
